FAUN Trackway Limited is pleased to announce the acquisition of the intellectual property and associated rights of Dando Drilling.
With more than 150 years of engineering heritage, Dando Drilling has established an international reputation for designing and manufacturing drilling rigs and equipment for the water well, geotechnical, geothermal, mineral exploration and environmental sectors. FAUN Trackway Limited is committed to building on this heritage and investing in the continued development of the business.
While Dando Drilling has faced significant challenges in recent years, FAUN Trackway Limited has every confidence in its future. The business will operate as Dando Drilling, a division of FAUN Trackway Limited; preserving not only a respected British engineering brand, but also the skills, experience and specialist knowledge that have been built over generations. Members of the Dando Drilling team will remain in their roles within the business, providing continuity for customers and suppliers and ensuring the business retains the capability and expertise for which Dando Drilling has long been recognised.
As part of the KIRCHHOFF Group, FAUN Trackway Limited is able to provide the financial stability and long term investment needed to support the continued growth and development of the business.
The business will be led by an experienced management team with a clear focus on providing stability, investing in the future and building on Dando Drilling’s long standing reputation for engineering excellence. While the previous directors are no longer involved with the business, FAUN Trackway Limited remains committed to maintaining the relationships, engineering capability and reputation that have made Dando Drilling a respected name within the industry.
Over the coming weeks, customers will be contacted to discuss ongoing projects, future requirements and the transition to the new business. Customers with quotations issued by the previous Dando Drilling business will also be contacted and, where appropriate, revised quotations will be prepared and issued.
Suppliers are advised that purchase orders issued by the previous Dando Drilling business prior to Monday 13 July 2026 did not transfer as part of the acquisition and therefore cannot be fulfilled by the new business. Where an ongoing supplier relationship is required, the appropriate members of the Dando Drilling team or FAUN Trackway Limited will make contact directly.
FAUN Trackway Limited recognises that this transition will raise questions for customers, suppliers and industry partners and is committed to working closely with all stakeholders throughout the transition. The immediate focus is to ensure business continuity, support employees, maintain the high standards of service that customers have come to expect, and build on Dando Drilling’s proud heritage by creating a stable platform for the long term development of the business under FAUN Trackway Limited’s ownership.
