UAV Landing Mat
The first landing mat in the world specifically designed to create runways for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and drones.
The UAV Landing Mat system has undergone rigorous qualification and operational testing, earning the distinction of being rated the top-performing solution for airfield repair and UAV recovery operations by the U.S. Army. It is currently fielded by the Australian Army to support sustained unmanned aerial system operations in deployed environments.
Designed for rapid deployment and modular expansion, both the PSA Flat Top and PSA Flat Top-R variants of the UAV Landing Mat have been formally validated and endorsed by the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) for use with MQ-9 Reaper and MQ-1 Predator platforms. The system delivers high load-bearing capacity, minimised Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk, and superior surface friction, ensuring reliable performance for launch, recovery, and maintenance operations across a wide range of operational environments.
The UAV Landing Mat is composed of interlocking Trackway® panels, enabling custom runway configurations tailored to specific dimensional requirements. Assembled in a brickwork pattern for structural integrity, the UAV Landing Mat can be constructed to any desired length and width. A full runway installation can be completed by a trained crew in under 12 hours, enabling rapid operational readiness in forward-deployed or harsh locations.
